Preteen Sports conditioning with TBAC can reduce overuse injuries to your child by 50%

Why Young Athletes are at Risk!

1. A huge increase in the number of children who play on organized and community sports teams over the past 20 years. (over 30 million)

2. Programs and teams start as young as age four or five.

3.  Training of sports specific skills is prioritized over developing fundamental movement and fitness skills (speed, balance, functional strength, agility, cutting, landing, jumping, etc...

4. Daily physical education has been eliminated in most schools.

5. Increases in T.V./Computer time cuts into time that could be spent in physical activities.

6. Coaches have limited education on how to train children properly thus they use inappropriate intensities and progressions which lead to over-use injuries.

7. Coaches, parents, and private organizations that need $ to run argue that early sports specialization is the key to success.

8. The number of Obese/overweight parents (which continues to increase) are inactive, and don't engage in active play or physical activity with their children.

9. Coaches use outdated conditioning methods such as static stretching as a warm-up.

10. Generally  Pre-participation physical exams focus on medical or obvious orthoppedic issues and not fitness related attributes. That is the doctor signs off but the child is not ready physically or even mentally ready for the demands of sports training and games.

The Problem: 50% of Overuse Injuries Sustained by Young Athletes Are Caused Because
they Are Unfit or Ill prepared to handle the duration and magnituded of forces that take place during practice and game situations.
Solving the Problem: Shared Responsibility between parents, coaches, health-care providers, and sports performance trainers to ensure young athletes have had an opportunity to develop and enhance fitness and functional movement abilities.
According to doctors and other health care providers overuse injuries in young athletes could be cut in half if they were only BETTER PREPARED TO PLAY THE GAME.

To Be a Champion's Fundamental Fitness & Sports Conditioning For Pre-Teen Athletes
prepares them for sports practices and competition.
